Nintendo Direct Announced For February 9

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct for the Nintendo Switch that is scheduled to arrive on February 9 and will be streamed online.

Nintendo usually holds these events to put a spotlight on the already announced games while announcing some new ones. For this Nintendo Direct, they are specifically mentioning that this will be focused on the Nintendo Switch games that are going to release in the first half of 2022.

Some of the confirmed Nintendo Switch exclusives in the first half of 2022 include Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Project Triangle Strategy. They have also just released Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Tune in tomorrow, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. PT for a Nintendo Direct livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mainly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching in the first half of 2022.

You can watch the stream for the Nintendo Direct from YouTube. Based on the official statement given by Nintendo, this is going to be 40 minutes long so it is not a short direct, which typically lasts 20 to 30 minutes. That said, don’t expect to see something like Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel here, since it won’t be released in the first half of 2022.

There are plenty of big titles launching in 2022 including the Breath of the Wild sequel. Other games that are confirmed for 2022 include Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3.
