Nintendo has announced the latest additions to the Game Boy Advance catalog for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. The September 2025 update brings two fan favorites from Bandai Namco’s library, expanding the service’s lineup with a mix of platforming and puzzle action.
The first title, Klonoa: Empire of Dreams, follows the adventures of Klonoa and his companion Huepow after they are summoned by Emperor Jillius, a ruler plagued by sleepless nights who outlaws dreaming across his land. As punishment for disobeying the decree, Klonoa is tasked with defeating four dangerous monsters spread across the empire. Players will use Klonoa’s trademark Wind Bullet to grab enemies, solve puzzles, and navigate through 40 inventive stages while uncovering the mystery behind the emperor’s strange law.
Also joining the catalog is Mr. Driller 2, a colorful and fast-paced puzzle game where players take on the roles of Susumu and Anna. The challenge revolves around digging through cascades of multicolored blocks while managing oxygen levels and avoiding being crushed by falling debris. The game offers three distinct modes: Mission Driller, Endless Driller, and Time Attack Driller, giving players a variety of ways to test their reflexes and strategy.
Both titles highlight the diversity of the Game Boy Advance library, bringing a mix of charm and challenge to modern audiences. With these additions, Nintendo Switch Online continues to grow its retro offering, ensuring that a new generation of players can experience handheld classics that defined an earlier era.
