Koei Tecmo America and Team NINJA have released a brand new playable demo for Nioh 3, giving players an early hands-on look at the upcoming dark samurai action RPG ahead of its February launch. The demo is available now on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and offers a slice of the game’s opening content, along with an incentive for those who see it through to completion.
The demo allows players to explore the early stages of Nioh 3, either solo or through online multiplayer with support for up to three players. Character creation is fully available, letting players design their own warrior before stepping into the game’s version of Japan’s turbulent Warring States period. The demo also includes a full boss encounter against Jakotsu-baba, offering a challenging taste of the combat and enemy design players can expect in the full release.
Progress made during the demo will carry over to the final version of the game. In addition, players who complete the demo by February 15, 2026, will unlock a special in-game reward, the Twin-Snake Helmet, which can be claimed and used in the full game after launch.
Nioh 3 is positioned as the next evolution of Team NINJA’s action RPG series, continuing its blend of fast, technical combat, supernatural threats, and historical influences. The studio has also released a gameplay showcase video alongside the demo, providing a deeper look at mechanics, environments, and combat flow.
Pre-orders for Nioh 3 are now live both digitally and physically. Players can choose between the standard edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition, or a separately sold Season Pass. A SteelBook Launch Edition is also available to pre-order and includes the base game along with two exclusive bonus DLC items. All versions of the game come with an early purchase bonus, redeemable on PlayStation Store and Steam for a limited time after release.
For collectors, a special PlayStation 5 physical edition is available exclusively through the NIS America Store. The Nioh 3 Treasure Box includes the base game, a Scampuss Furball Netsuke Charm keychain, a Nioh 3 desk pad, the official artbook, and a selection soundtrack CD.
Nioh 3 is scheduled to launch on February 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The game will feature Japanese and English voice options, with text supported in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
