Nioh 3 Ver. 1.03.00 introduces a collection of bug fixes addressing combat input behavior, character creation issues, mission recommendation inconsistencies, and Expedition matchmaking problems on PlayStation 5 and Steam.
The update also includes Steam-specific fixes related to rare save data corruption and visual anomalies affecting water surfaces, alongside several additional minor corrections.

PlayStation 5 and Steam
- Adjusted behavior so valuables dropped by Green Shadow’s Blade on the field “1572 CE – Warring States” can be obtained after loading save data if they could not be acquired previously
- Fixed an issue when using the Martial Art Unbroken with the Samurai weapon cestuses that prevented linking certain Martial Arts using backward movement and Strong Attack inputs
- Fixed an issue causing elbow and knee angles to appear more inward during Samurai Style movement than in Character Creation
- Fixed an issue causing character creation data to be overwritten when changing the name via Save/Load Settings in Character Creation
- Fixed an issue where Recommended Level for accepting certain missions via Challenges after completing the game was higher than intended
- Partially fixed an issue that made matching difficult for Expeditions
- Made other minor fixes
Steam
- Fixed an issue that very rarely caused game data corruption when ending the game while praying at a shrine
- Partially fixed an issue where water surfaces would occasionally radiate purple light
