Private Division and Moon Studios’ latest action role-playing game, No Rest for the Wicked, is now available in early access on PC, and we’ve put together the best PC settings for getting optimized performance on mid-end system specs.
Before we delve into the best settings for No Rest for the Wicked on PC, make sure you’ve updated your GPU drivers and Windows to their latest respective versions. Additionally, disable or close any unnecessary background applications in order to reduce the CPU overhead as much as possible. The settings detailed ahead should provide a more optimized balance between graphics and frame rate compared to the presets available in-game.

The settings below are there to serve as a broad starting point for further optimization based on your specific hardware specs. As a result, you may need to further tweak some settings until you find a sweet spot based on your display’s refresh rate and the overall performance you seek.

As seen in the video above, No Rest for the Wicked currently doesn’t perform well on the Steam Deck. The game is demanding on both the GPU and CPU, and usually hovers in the 30 to 40 fps range, at times dipping below during some CPU intensive instances. There are also some noticeable stutters due to large frame time spikes. As such, for now, we recommend capping the frame rate to 40 fps to get a relatively stable experience.
No Rest for the Wicked is currently available in early access only on PC. Performance is expected to improve via future patches leading up to launch.
