NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super GPUs Offer Up To 50% More Memory For Same Price As Non-Super Variants

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super GPUs will offer up to 50% more memory for the same price as the original lineup, according to a new rumor.

In his recent YouTube video, content creator RedGamingTech discussed a new leak regarding the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Super refresh, according to which the new cards may deliver a major memory boost without an increase in pricing. Lack of VRAM is the most common criticism against the original RTX 50 lineup, and it looks like the upgrade aims to address that.

Models such as the GeForce RTX 5070, often criticized for limited VRAM, are expected to receive 50% more capacity while maintaining their original bus width. NVIDIA is reportedly achieving this by switching to higher-density memory modules rather than redesigning the memory interface.

In addition to more VRAM, some Super variants may see slight improvements in streaming multiprocessors (SMs) and clock speeds. However, the bulk of the changes are expected to come from the memory side, which should help the GPUs perform better in modern, memory-hungry titles at higher resolutions.

With regards to pricing. earlier reports suggested premium costs for the Super refresh, but new leak suggests that NVIDIA will keep them aligned with, or possibly even slightly below, the pricing of current non-Super RTX 50 variants. For example:

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Super: $1,000 (vs. $1,149 previously rumored)
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Super: $750
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Super: $550

As such, the new lineup would undoubtedly make a more compelling value proposition to those who are looking to upgrade their GPUs. NVIDIA’s decision to launch its GeForce RTX 50 Super lineup of GPUs earlier in Q4 2025 rather than early next year is likely tied to weak sales of certain original RTX 50 cards and excess inventory. By introducing refreshed models with better specs and competitive pricing, the company is undoubtedly aiming to rectify criticism and maintain its dominance in the GPU market.
