Team17 and Ghost Town Games have announced that Overcooked! 2 is now available for the Nintendo Switch 2 as of November 6, 2025. The updated version brings visual and performance enhancements alongside several exclusive features tailored for Nintendo’s next-generation console.
Originally launched in 2018, Overcooked! 2 is a cooperative cooking simulation game that challenges players to prepare meals under increasingly chaotic kitchen conditions. The new Nintendo Switch 2 Edition offers upgraded visuals comparable to the PC version, running at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second when docked. The release also introduces several quality-of-life improvements, aiming to enhance both local and online multiplayer experiences.
Among the new additions is Camera Play, a feature that utilizes the console’s built-in camera to capture players’ reactions during gameplay. All downloadable content previously purchased on Nintendo Switch remains compatible with the Switch 2 version, and save data can be transferred between both platforms, ensuring that existing progress and unlocks are preserved.
For one week following launch, Team17 is offering a limited-time discount of 20 percent on both the full edition and the upgrade version. Existing owners can upgrade to the new edition for £7.99 / €9.99 / $9.99, while new players can purchase the full version for £24.99 / €29.99 / $29.99.
