ATLUS has officially revealed Persona 4 Revival, a comprehensive remake of the beloved RPG Persona 4, during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Originally launched in 2008, the title is undergoing a full-scale visual and gameplay overhaul aimed at reintroducing the critically acclaimed narrative to a modern audience. The game is in development for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam, and will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It also supports Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing cross-platform play between Xbox and PC.

The announcement came alongside a new debut trailer that showcased the rural town of Inaba reimagined with updated visuals and an enhanced presentation. In Persona 4 Revival, players assume the role of a high school transfer student who becomes entangled in a series of mysterious murders linked to a strange television channel. With his newfound Persona powers, the protagonist forms bonds with his classmates and investigates the dark truth hidden behind the Midnight Channel.

In a message to fans, P-STUDIO Director Kazuhisa Wada emphasized the emotional and creative importance of this project for the development team. Wada acknowledged the lasting legacy of Persona 4, which has inspired multiple spin-offs, including Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona 4: Dancing All Night. He noted that Persona 4 Revival is being crafted with care and passion to ensure that it appeals to both longtime fans and first-time players.

According to Wada, the remake is part of ATLUS’s broader commitment to the Persona franchise, with additional developments planned for the future. He encouraged fans to look forward to more details in the months ahead and thanked the community for its ongoing support.
