Planet Coaster 2 Hotfix 11 Improves Weather Effects

Planet Coaster 2 has released Hotfix 11 across PC and consoles, delivering targeted improvements to weather presentation and resolving several gameplay and visual issues. The update enhances snow coverage, adjusts lightning effects, and improves haze density during storms, offering a more consistent and immersive weather experience.

The hotfix also addresses key problems affecting rides, scenery behavior, staff functions, and audio playback. Additional stability fixes round out the update, and the team encourages players to continue reporting issues through the official tracker.

Weather Improvements

Snow

  • Increased snow accumulation on paths.
  • Fixed improper snow appearing on special coaster track pieces.
  • Fixed snow failing to settle on foliage hedge pieces.
  • Increased haze density during snowy weather.

Thunderstorms

  • Improved lightning effects within clouds.
  • Enhanced the appearance of lightning flashes.
  • Increased haze density during thunderstorms.

Rides

  • Reduced threshold required for rides to reach Classic status following prestige and scenery adjustments from Update 8.
  • Track supports on the Child Coaster Return can now be removed from standard and reverse wheel lift and drop pieces.
  • Fixed an issue preventing deletion of flat ride sequence steps.

Scenery

  • Fixed looping light pieces that appeared off while still emitting light.
  • Restored natural water color to murky green.

Staff

  • Fixed an issue that often prevented janitors from cleaning toilets.

Audio

  • Fixed speaker audio continuing to play while gameplay was paused, preventing audio de sync issues.

Stability

  • Various stability fixes included in this hotfix.

Planet Coaster 2 launched on November 6, 2024, and is available on PC Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X S.
