by Ali Haider

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a special State of Play Japan broadcast scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The presentation will run for over 40 minutes and highlight upcoming games developed in Japan and across Asia, alongside several additional global announcements.

The event was detailed in an official post on the PlayStation Blog by Sachie Kobari, who confirmed that the show will feature a range of titles from major franchises and independent studios. Japanese voice actor Yuki Kaji, best known for his work in anime and video games, will host the broadcast. The presentation will include new trailers, developer interviews, and extended gameplay segments for both announced and previously unseen projects.

State of Play Japan will air on PlayStation’s official YouTube channels on November 11 at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 11 p.m. CEST, corresponding to November 12 at 7 a.m. JST. The broadcast will be available in two versions: a fully localized Japanese-language edition on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel, and an international feed featuring Japanese audio with English subtitles.

This regional edition of Sony’s State of Play series is expected to place particular emphasis on Japanese and Asian creators, reflecting the growing international appeal of games originating from the region. Previous showcases have included titles from Capcom, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and several emerging independent developers. The upcoming broadcast will likely continue that tradition, offering insights into upcoming releases for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as updates on PlayStation Studios’ partnerships with Asian studios.

PlayStation has yet to specify which titles will appear during the stream, though the announcement’s focus on “beloved series and distinctive indie creations” suggests a diverse lineup spanning multiple genres and scales. The show is also expected to feature updates on PlayStation’s ongoing collaborations with regional developers, part of the company’s broader strategy to highlight creative talent across Asia.
