Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for January 2026, giving subscribers three distinctly different experiences to start the year. Beginning January 6, members will be able to add Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed, and Core Keeper to their libraries, with availability running through February 2.
Leading the lineup is Need for Speed Unbound on PS5, the latest entry in the long-running racing series developed by Criterion Games. The title blends single-player and multiplayer progression, asking players to work their way up from street-level races to elite competition. Set in the city of Lakeshore, the game focuses on high-risk races, police chases, and weekly qualifiers that culminate in The Grand, the city’s top street racing event. Customization plays a major role, allowing players to fine-tune their cars and express their style through visuals and music while navigating an intense, time-driven structure.
Also arriving this month is Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed for PS4 and PS5, a modern remake of the original platforming adventure. Players step into the role of Mickey Mouse and explore Wasteland, a forgotten world filled with overlooked Disney characters. The game centers on the use of paint and thinner, tools that allow players to reshape environments, solve puzzles, and influence how the world responds. Familiar characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit appear throughout the journey, alongside collectible items and platforming stages inspired by classic animated works.
Rounding out the January selection is Core Keeper on PS4 and PS5, an award-winning sandbox adventure designed for solo play or cooperative sessions with up to 8 players. Set within a vast underground cavern, the game combines exploration, crafting, combat, and base building. Players gather resources, craft equipment, develop skills, and face powerful enemies as they uncover the mysteries surrounding the Core. Additional systems such as farming, fishing, cooking, and animal care add depth, allowing each player to shape their experience in a persistent and evolving world.
Sony also reminded subscribers that there is limited time remaining to claim December’s PlayStation Plus monthly games. Members have until January 5 to add Lego Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality Echo of Ada, and Neon White to their libraries before they rotate out.
The January 2026 lineup will be available to all active PlayStation Plus members starting January 6, offering a mix of high-speed racing, classic platforming, and deep sandbox exploration to begin the new year.
