The title and location for Nintendo and The Pokemon Company’s Pokemon Gen 10, codenamed Gaia, has allegedly been leaked.
Twitter/X user CentroLeaks, who is known as a source for Pokemon leaks, rumors and news, has shared the alleged title and location for Pokemon Gen 10.As per them, the game’s official title is Pokemon Wind and Waves, and its theme is Infinity.
Furthermore, the leaker stated that the setting for Pokémon Wind and Waves is Indonesia and Southeast Asia. According to them, this information comes directly via documents from the game’s director, Shigeru Ohmori. These documents are allegedly from 2021, and they contradict prior rumors about it being set in Greece. It’s unknown whether the location was altered during the course of development.
If the next Pokemon adventure is indeed set in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, it’s likely that it will involve plenty traveling around on water. As a result, the game may feature several variants of the Hoenn Pokemon. The development team may do some interesting things with the third legendary, such as adding Titan-based ones like Cronus or Typhon.
Recently, in February, 2025, Mat Piscatella, Executive Director and Video Game Industry Analyst at Circana (NPD), had shared that Pokemon had an “amazing” year in the US, as it was the best-selling toy property of 2024. According to him, it was the only toy property to surpass 1 billion US Dollars in sales. Back in November, 2024, 2 years after Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s release on November 18, 2022, it was reported that its sales had exceeded 8.3 million copies in Japan, making it the best selling game in the Pokemon series. Up until that point, Pokémon Red and Green was the best-selling game in the country in the history of the series . This was the first time in its 28-year history that the record had been broken. It will be interesting see whether Pokemon Gen 10 will be able to set a new sales record for the series.
