Pokemon Legends: Z-A Leaks

Twitter/X user CentroLeaks has been sharing details received from those with early copies of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. They confirmed with screenshots as evidence that Mega Feraligatr, Mega Scolipede, Mega Drampa, Mega Emboar, Mega Scrafty, and Mega Chandelure are all featured in the game. They also confirmed that, just like in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, shiny Pokemon make a sound when spawning, and there’s also separate shiny icons for the Pokemon. Furthermore, according to the leaker, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set 5 years after the events of Pokemon X and Y.

During September’s Nintendo Direct, Mega Evolutions for the Kalos starter Pokemon, Delphox, Greninja, and Chesnaught, were announced for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. These evolutions were never available in the original Pokemon X and Y, and their introduction in the upcoming title was met with excitement, particularly given Greninja’s enduring popularity. However, according to details shared on game’s the official website, the Mega Stones needed to evolve these Pokemon i.e. Greninjite, Delphoxite, and Chesnaughtite, are exclusively tied to the Z-A Battle Club’s online Ranked Battles. This means that players must hold an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to participate, effectively locking the Kalos starters’ Mega Evolutions behind both a paywall and mandatory competitive play.

Pokemon Legends Z-A is set for realease on October 16, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.
