Pragmata Demo Downloads and Wishlists Surpass 2 Million

Capcom has revealed that the demo for its upcoming sci-fi action adventure Pragmata has crossed a significant milestone, with downloads and wishlists now surpassing 2 million across platforms.

The announcement was shared through the official Pragmata social media account, which thanked players for the strong early response to the demo. In its message, the account stated that demo downloads and wishlists have now exceeded the 2 million mark.

The demo, titled Sketchbook, allows players to experience a portion of the game ahead of launch. It introduces the central gameplay mechanics that combine third-person shooting with puzzle-based hacking elements. In the demo, players control astronaut Hugh Williams alongside his android companion Diana, who can manipulate enemy armor systems through hacking puzzles to create openings during combat.

Pragmata has had one of the more unusual development cycles in recent years. First announced several years ago, the project experienced multiple delays before finally receiving a firm release window. During a recent Capcom Spotlight presentation, the publisher even moved the release date forward slightly, shifting it from April 24 to April 17, 2026.

The story follows Hugh Williams and Diana as they attempt to escape a hostile lunar research facility and find a way back to Earth. The game blends action-focused shooting with puzzle mechanics tied to Diana’s hacking abilities, forming the core of its combat system.

Pragmata is scheduled to launch on April 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Sketchbook demo is currently available on those platforms for players who want an early look at the upcoming title.
