Pragmata PS5 vs PC Comparison Reveals Strong Console Performance Against High-End Hardware

Capcom’s upcoming sci-fi action adventure Pragmata made its latest appearance at Gamescom 2025, where the PlayStation 5 and PC versions were showcased. The footage offered fans a closer look at how the ambitious title is shaping up technically ahead of its scheduled 2026 release.

A technical comparison has revealed that both platforms deliver a near-identical experience overall, though the PC version held a slight visual edge. Running on an RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 enabled, the PC build featured superior reflections, ambient occlusion, hair rendering, and overall image resolution. The PS5 version, however, demonstrated impressive stability and strong performance, particularly for a game still in active development.

Unlike Capcom’s other major project, Resident Evil Requiem, which has been confirmed to support full Path Tracing, Pragmata does not appear to include such advanced rendering techniques. As a result, the game is expected to be somewhat less demanding on hardware, allowing console versions to maintain a consistent level of quality without the same technical overhead.

Set aboard a lunar research station, Pragmata follows the story of Hugh, a spacefarer, and Diana, an android companion, as they attempt to resist a hostile artificial intelligence and find a way back to Earth. Originally announced several years ago, the title is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2026.

While much of the spotlight has recently focused on Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata remains one of Capcom’s more intriguing projects, blending a high-concept sci-fi setting with action-driven gameplay. With both PS5 and PC versions already performing strongly in pre-release form, Capcom seems intent on ensuring that Pragmata delivers a visually ambitious experience across platforms.
