Predecessor Set for August 20 Launch on Multiple Platforms

Omeda Studios, a studio established by Robbie Singh with the support of the community, has announced the highly anticipated release of their third-person multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Predecessor. This exciting title is scheduled to launch on August 20 for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Since its introduction in Open Beta in March 2024, Predecessor has experienced substantial growth in its player base, surpassing one million users. The development team has been steadfast in refining the game based on community feedback, resulting in the addition of numerous new features and enhancements. These include the introduction of the Ranked Mode, the fast-paced Brawl Mode, new heroes such as Terra and Aurora, a variety of skins, and significant balance adjustments to maintain the game’s competitive nature.

Predecessor serves as a spiritual successor to Epic Games’ Paragon, which was discontinued. In 2020, Robbie Singh, a dedicated player and content creator of Paragon, founded Omeda Studios with the goal of not only reviving the essence of Paragon but also advancing it. Leveraging Paragon’s visual assets, the studio has meticulously reworked the game’s maps, mechanics, and characters to offer a fresh yet familiar experience for players.

Key Features of Predecessor:

  • Unique Gameplay Experience: Predecessor blends the core elements of a MOBA with the mechanics of a third-person shooter and brawler, providing a visceral experience that emphasizes teamwork and strategy.
  • Extensive Character Roster: The game boasts over 35 unique heroes, each with distinct abilities and playstyles, offering depth and variety to players.
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 5: As the only MOBA developed in Unreal Engine 5, Predecessor delivers high-resolution and high-fidelity graphics across both current and previous generation consoles.
  • Cross-Platform Play: Predecessor supports cross-play functionality, allowing friends to team up and compete regardless of their platform.
  • Earnable In-Game Content: Players can earn or purchase various rewards, including custom skins, using in-game currency.

Predecessor will launch on August 20 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X|S.
