by Greg Martin

Ubisoft has announced that Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition will launch on February 13 across Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Ubisoft Store and Steam. The commemorative release celebrates three decades of the original 1995 platformer with multiple versions of the game and newly added content.

Developed by Digital Eclipse in collaboration with Ubisoft Montpellier, the anniversary edition includes five versions of Rayman spanning different platforms: PlayStation, Atari Jaguar, MS DOS, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Color. Players can revisit the original adventure across its various iterations, returning to locations such as the Dream Forest and Band Lands while working to rescue the Electoons and defeat Mr. Dark.

In addition to preserving the core experience, the collection introduces new material. A previously unreleased SNES prototype is included and playable for the first time. The package also adds 120 extra levels drawn from bonus level packs, along with a reimagined soundtrack by composer Christophe Héral. Gameplay enhancements such as a 60-second rewind feature, infinite lives, and invincibility options are designed to make the classic more accessible to modern audiences.

Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition also features an interactive documentary component. The documentary includes more than 50 minutes of newly recorded interviews with original developers, as well as early concept art, sketches, and design documents that explore the origins and development of the series.

The digital edition will be available at a suggested retail price of $19.99. A physical version is planned for release in select regions in June.
