THQ Nordic and developer Tarsier have announced that the demo for REANIMAL is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, marking a major step forward as the game enters its final month before launch. The announcement comes exactly 30 days ahead of the full release, which is scheduled for February 13 across Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.
According to the publishers, REANIMAL has already surpassed 1 million demo downloads across platforms, an early milestone that reflects strong interest ahead of release. The game has also gained momentum within the industry, with multiple outlets highlighting it as one of the most anticipated titles of 2026.
The newly released Nintendo Switch 2 demo opens the experience to a broader audience, allowing players on the platform to sample the game for the first time. This expansion follows a period of growing visibility for REANIMAL, which has steadily built attention through hands-on demos and early impressions.
Tarsier CEO Oliver Merlöv described the response to the demo as deeply encouraging, emphasizing the studio’s emotional investment in the project and the value of player feedback during the final stretch of development. He noted that the team is now fully focused on the February launch and eager for players to experience the complete game.
REANIMAL has also earned recognition from a wide range of major publications, appearing on several Most Anticipated Games of 2026 lists. Outlets including IGN, The Guardian, Rock Paper Shotgun, Screen Rant, Wccftech, GamingBible, The Sixth Axis, and ComicBook have all highlighted the title as one to watch, positioning it alongside some of the most closely followed releases of the year.
With a growing player base through its demo, strong early visibility, and a confirmed release date just weeks away, REANIMAL is heading into launch with considerable momentum across all supported platforms.
