The aforementioned Easter eggs discovered in Resident Evil Requiem can be seen in the screenshots below.

The first screenshot is from Wrenwood’s hotel register. The post-launch addition of a Photo Mode in Resident Evil Requiem has made it possible to read the writing clearly, revealing that one of the guests is named Veronica. Furthermore, not only was Alyssa Ashcroft the last guest, but also the ninth. Meanwhile, the second screenshot is taken in the bar lounge in the Rhodes Hill Center. One of the bottles there is labeled with the text, “AVERNICO”. Re-arranging the alphabets results in the word, “VERONICA”.

The aforementioned Easter eggs indicate that Capcom considers Resident Evil – Code: Veronica an important part of the series’ lore. As such, there’s some weight to rumors regarding a remake being in development. Known insiders Nate the Hate and Dusk Golem have both claimed that the remake exists, and is set for release sometime during 2027. Furthermore, voice actor Craig Burnatowski, who played the role of Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil 4 remake and its Separate Ways expansion, recently teased a return.
