A datamine of Resident Evil Requiem game files has revealed an unused character model of antagonist Victor Gideon that is made of snakes.
Japanese dataminer and content creator umesooooo took to Twitter/X to share that they did some digging into the Resident Evil Requiem files and were able to find unused mesh data related to the game’s central villain, Victor Gideon. Both of the character models discovered are without textures.
Unused Victor Gideon Character Models In Resident Evil Requiem
The aforementioned Victor Gideon character models discovered by the dataminer can be seen below.

According to the content creator, the single-wing form of Victor Gideon seen in the first image is located in a folder labeled “Injured Victor”. They further mentioned that the monster form seen in the second image is likely the antagonist’s final mutation. The character model gives chimeric beast vibes, with its body being made of snakes.
Ultimately, Capcom scrapped the idea and opted to base Victor Gideon’s final mutation on the final form of Nemesis in the Resident Evil 3 remake, right down to his attacks and weak points. We can’t help but wonder how a final showdown against this alternate version of the antagonist’s final form would have played out. Perhaps the development team will share details in this regard during a future behind-the-scenes feature.
In related news, with the recent arrival of a Photo Mode in Resident Evil Requiem, fans have had the opportunity to closely examine the game’s environmental assets for hidden clues, as the developer is known for dropping hints regarding future entries in every prior title developed using RE Engine. Twitter/X users TheSphereHunter and RacconSurvivor discovered hidden Easters eggs that hint at the existence of the previously rumored Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake.
Resident Evil Requiem is available across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
