The recently discovered hidden Easter egg mystery in Capcom’s new survival horror game, Resident Evil Requiem, dubbed “The Final Puzzle”, has finally been solved.
Content creator SynthPotato, who previously shared an extensive breakdown of the recently discovered Resident Evil Requiem Easter egg on Twitter/X, confirmed in an update post that two players, Rantsycancy and Kyro, are the first in the world to complete the complex sequence of steps required to solve the puzzle. The mystery first gained attention when the content creator uncovered a series of cryptic clues tied to a severed hand item, hidden blood analyzer messages, and a strange celestial code connected to the Sun, Moon, and stars. The investigation led players to a machine in the East Wing of the Rhodes Care Home section, where entering a specific sequence triggered eerie laughter, but failed to fully resolve “The Final Puzzle” up until now.
Solving the challenge requires very specific actions across multiple playthroughs. The step-by-step process can be seen below.
- Wait 15 minutes at the meat processing plant in the basement to reset the game’s flag tracking back to 0
- Once you’re in the processor sequence in the basement, do not kill any zombies
- After the basement, you don’t need to pick up the severed hand, go to the toilets in the West Wing and flush one of the toilets exactly 8 times
- Now proceed normally with the story, once you get to the basement of Victor’s office to get the pilot’s key, as you are escaping, Marie’s doll will spawn at the staircase
- Now finish the entire game with Marie’s doll in the item box
- Start a new playthrough, play up to past the basement, pick up the severed hand, scan it then go to the East Wing, enter the code that I discussed in the original post at the Sun/Star/Moon machine in the East Wing While carrying Emily
Executing all of these steps correctly completes Resident Evil Requiem’s “Final Puzzle.” From hidden item flags and environmental interactions to multi-run requirements and exact in-game conditions, it’s one of the most elaborate Easter eggs the series has seen.
