As seen from the list above, Resident Evil Requiem is the most critically acclaimed title in the series since the original Resident Evil 4, surpassing Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Resident Evil Village. On the other hand, with the exception of Resident Evil 0, all entries prior to Resident Evil 4, including Resident Evil Code: Veronica , Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil 2, and the original Resident Evil have scored higher.

In our own review for Resident Evil Requiem, we placed among the top three entries in the franchise, calling it a masterful dual-narrative that harmonizes the franchise’s identity, pitting Grace’s claustrophobic, resource-starved survival horror against Leon’s high-octane, RE4-inspired combat. By revisiting Raccoon City with polished 4K/60fps visuals and flexible perspectives, it delivers a definitive, “best-of” experience that satisfies both purists and action junkies. It features several memorable boss fights, along with a few surprises, and takes players back to where the nightmare began. Whether you prefer the survival horror focus of Resident Evil 7 or the more action-driven style of Resident Evil 4, the game offers something for every type of fan.
