Resident Evil Requiem Opens Pre-Orders, Coming February 2026 With Fortnite Collaboration

Capcom has officially opened pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem, the next entry in its long-running survival horror franchise, set to release on February 27, 2026. The game will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via both Steam and, for the first time in series history, the Epic Games Store.

The pre-order campaign was announced during Road to Requiem, a livestream event hosted by Maggie Robertson, best known for voicing Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village. The showcase reflected on the series’ evolution since the original 1998 Raccoon City Incident and introduced new features, collaborations, and editions for the upcoming title.

Players who pre-order Resident Evil Requiem will receive an exclusive bonus costume for protagonist Grace, titled “Apocalypse.” Capcom confirmed two purchasable editions of the game: a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe version includes five bonus costumes, four weapon skins, two visual filters, and two weapon charms, among other digital items. A limited Premium Steelbook Edition will also be available, featuring all Deluxe Edition content, a lenticular collectible card, and a steel case.

As part of the event’s announcements, Capcom revealed a Fortnite crossover to coincide with the studio’s debut on the Epic Games Store. Players who purchase Resident Evil Requiem through Epic’s platform will receive exclusive Resident Evil-themed cosmetics in Fortnite, including the Grace outfit. These items are scheduled to be distributed following the game’s release, with additional collaboration details to be shared closer to launch.

The company also unveiled several hardware and collectible tie-ins. Nintendo will release a limited-edition Resident Evil Requiem Pro Controller for the Switch 2, featuring a gunmetal design inspired by the game’s tone and setting. Furthermore, Grace will become the franchise’s first character to receive an official amiibo figure, expected to launch in summer 2026.

Capcom plans to host a new Resident Evil Showcase early next year to provide a deeper look at Requiem’s gameplay, narrative, and design direction.

In addition to the main release, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day as Requiem. Both include extra modes and post-story content, with Village retaining its third-person gameplay option. These titles will also be bundled together as part of the Resident Evil Generation Pack, exclusive to the Switch 2 platform.
