Resident Evil Requiem serves as the ninth main installment in the long-running survival horror game series. The story introduces a new lead character, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who explores the ruins of Raccoon City alongside federal agent Leon S. Kennedy. Gameplay alternates between both characters, with each offering distinct playstyles. Grace’s segments emphasize classic survival horror elements, echoing the tense, methodical approach seen in modern entries like the Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Resident Evil Village. Her missions focus on stealth and evasion as she avoids the main antagonist, Victor Gideon, and other threats lurking within a hotel setting. In contrast, Leon’s sections lean more heavily into action-oriented combat, drawing inspiration from the fast-paced gameplay style associated with recent adaptations of Resident Evil 4.
