RGG Studio has acknowledged player feedback regarding technical issues in the downloadable demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties and confirmed that a Version 1.11 patch will be available at launch to address these concerns. The studio shared the update following reports of graphical inconsistencies and lighting problems observed in the demo that went live on January 21, 2026.

In a public statement, RGG Studio said, “We have heard concerns from players regarding graphical issues and other problems present in the downloadable demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties.” The developer reassured players that the demo does not reflect the quality of the final product, stating, “Rest assured the graphical quality of the demo does not represent the final experience.”

According to the studio, the planned Version 1.11 patch will specifically target lighting issues and other quality-related concerns in the full game. One highlighted example involves the Kubochi River area located in the Downtown Ryukyu district. RGG Studio noted, “One specific example is the visual and lighting issues around the Kubochi River area in the Downtown Ryukyu area, which many of you have already pointed out.”

Beyond the identified problem areas, the studio indicated that the patch will also include additional improvements. “This patch will include not just fixes for the issues identified above, but many other improvements,” RGG Studio said. The developer also reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a polished release, adding, “We look forward to sharing the final version of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties with our global audience on February 12th.”

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is an action-adventure bundle developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA. The package combines Yakuza Kiwami 3, a full remake of the 2009 title Yakuza 3 built using the Dragon Engine, with Dark Ties, a brand-new prequel story featuring antagonist Yoshitaka Mine as a playable protagonist.

The bundle is scheduled for worldwide release on February 12, 2026, across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, and Nintendo Switch 2. RGG Studio also cautioned that patch availability may differ by platform and advised players to monitor official channels for timing details.
