Nintendo has confirmed the release date for Rhythm Heaven Groove, with the information appearing on the Nintendo Today app. The upcoming rhythm title is set to launch on July 2, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch, bringing back the long-running series after more than a decade without a new entry.

Originally revealed during the March 27, 2025, Nintendo Direct, Rhythm Heaven Groove, known as Rhythm Paradise Groove in Europe, is being developed by Nintendo EPD in collaboration with TNX. The project also sees the return of longtime series producer and composer Tsunku, alongside character artist Ko Takeuchi, signaling a continuation of the franchise’s established creative direction.

The game will feature a completely original soundtrack and a fresh lineup of mini-games. These include activities such as smashing cans with a hammer, catching tomatoes while cooking, and balancing fruit on flexing muscles, continuing the series’ tradition of unusual and fast-paced rhythm challenges.

This is the first home console entry since Rhythm Heaven Fever on the Wii, and the development team has concentrated on technical enhancements. They have made improvements to reduce audio and input latency, to maintain the precise timing that characterizes the series, especially on modern display setups.
