Rise of the Ronin is a combat-driven, open-world action RPG developed by Team Ninja, set in 1863 during Japan’s Bakumatsu period. Players assume the role of a nameless Ronin navigating a nation on the brink of transformation, where choices determine allegiances and outcomes amid political turmoil. The game blends traditional Japanese melee combat with Western firearms for a dynamic battle system. Originally released for PlayStation 5 on March 22, 2024, it later arrived on PC via Steam on March 10, 2025.
