RoboCop: Rogue City is developed by Teyon and published by Nacon, and is set for release on PS5, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is based on the original trilogy of films and will be all-new adventure about the future of law enforcement. The game will feature the voice and likeness of Peter Weller, who portrayed Alex Murphy/RoboCop in RoboCop and RoboCop 2.
The game is scheduled for release this year in 2023, making it the first Robocop game made for consoles since 2003. The 2003 game, titled RoboCop, is a first-person shooter based on the RoboCop movies. French company Titus Interactive developed and published it after acquiring the rights to create RoboCop video games in 1999. The game was eventually released in 2003 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, with Avalon Interactive handling distribution in Europe.
RoboCop, a cyborg policeman in Neo Detroit, has the assignment of tracking down those in charge of spreading a brand-new designer drug called Brain Drain. RoboCop is tasked with looking into possible ties between a mayoral candidate, Omni Consumer Products, the company that made RoboCop, and Brain Drain. The game features nine large levels, each one divided into several sections. The level starts over from the beginning if the player is killed. One primary objective, several secondary objectives, and bonus objectives make up each level. The player must complete the primary objective to advance through the game, while the other objectives add to the player’s final score.
