In his latest video, content creator Destin has confirmed the final retail prices for ASUS’s upcoming ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. He received images from an anonymous source and was also able to verify the information with his local Best Buy. As per Destin’s report, the prices for the ROG Xbox Ally and the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X can be seen below.

  • ROG Xbox Ally: 549.99 US Dollars
  • ROG Xbox Ally X: 899.99 US Dollars

According to Destin, who had hands-on time with the system at this year’s Gamescom, the Ally handhelds deliver an experience that feels surprisingly lightweight and ergonomic, especially compared to competitors like the Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch. He praised the design for feeling natural to hold, saying it feels closer to simply using an Xbox controller.

Flexibility is poised to be one of the Ally’s biggest selling points. The devices will support Xbox Game Pass for PC as well as other storefronts like Steam and the Epic Games Store. This means users can play not just Xbox titles but also PC games, including PlayStation-published titles like Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part I, and Returnal, all from one handheld device.

Destin also highlighted several quality-of-life features, including docking support for playing on a TV or monitor display, USB-C and memory card expansion, and a full Windows mode for use as a portable PC. Performance-wise, early impressions have been promising, with Doom: The Dark Ages reportedly running at above 60 FPS on the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X.
