The retail price of ASUS and Microsoft’s upcoming handhelds, the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X, appears to have been revealed ahead of their October 16, 2025, release date. Multiple sources, including UK retailers and U.S. reports, have confirmed pricing details for both models.

An email promotion from Currys listed the standard ROG Xbox Ally at £499, while the upgraded ROG Xbox Ally X was priced at £799. The marketing material described the Ally X as featuring a more powerful processor, faster memory, and increased storage capacity compared to the base model, positioning it as the premium option for players seeking stronger performance.

Earlier leaks from Argos UK had already suggested a £499.99 price tag for the standard ROG Xbox Ally, but no concrete figure for the Ally X was included at the time. Speculation in community threads hinted at a possible £799 launch price, which now aligns with the Currys listing. According to promotional details, the standard model will ship with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 60Wh battery, running on Windows 11 with Xbox Game Pass integration.

In the United States, YouTube creator Destin reported that the final retail prices had also been confirmed through images provided by an anonymous source and further validated by a Best Buy location. According to his findings, the ROG Xbox Ally will retail for $549.99, while the higher-spec ROG Xbox Ally X will cost $899.99. Display units are expected to appear in select Best Buy stores ahead of launch.

Both handhelds will feature a 7-inch 1080p, 120Hz display, though the Ally X differentiates itself through expanded hardware performance and larger storage. With the official launch set for October, ASUS and Microsoft are clearly targeting both casual handheld players and enthusiasts willing to pay more for upgraded specs.
