Romeo is a Dead Man Release Date Set for February 2026

by Greg Martin

Grasshopper Manufacture has announced that its upcoming action title Romeo Is a Dead Man will launch on February 11, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The studio confirmed the date during a recent showcase, describing the project as its first new original property in more than five years.

The game is directed and written by Goichi Suda, also known as Suda51, who previously led titles such as No More Heroes, The Silver Case, and Shadows of the Damned. According to the developer, the project combines stylized violence, science fiction themes, and fast-paced action, elements long associated with the studio’s catalog.

Romeo Is a Dead Man centers on Romeo Stargazer, an agent working for a fictional FBI Space Time division. The narrative follows the character after he narrowly avoids death through the use of a mask referred to as DeadGear, setting him on a mission to pursue fugitives across multiple universes. The announcement also notes a secondary plot involving the unexplained disappearance of Stargazer’s girlfriend, identified only as Juliet.

Suda stated in the announcement that the studio adjusted its schedule to release the game earlier than previously suggested, adding that the team is finalizing development ahead of its planned February launch. His remarks referenced competing releases without identifying them and offered no technical explanation for how the revised date was determined.
