Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Update 1.1.0 Adds Boss Gauntlet, Expanded Bonds, and QoL Enhancements

Marvelous has released update 1.1.0 for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, bringing new content, bug fixes, and significant quality-of-life improvements. Players can now access challenging boss gauntlets after completing the main quest, expand their storage capacities, and enjoy improved village management with more facilities, decorations, and a new Summer Village development zone.

The update also introduces higher Bond Levels, allowing players to build stronger relationships with characters while unlocking new recipes and items. Several bugs have been addressed as well, improving farming AI, NPC conversations, and general stability across the game.

Adventuring

  • Added four extremely difficult boss gauntlets, unlocked after completing the main quest “Guardians of Azuma.”

Village Life

  • Added a new development zone in Summer Village (unlocked at Village Level 8).
  • At Village Level 10, maximum facilities increased by 5 and maximum decorations expanded to 256.
  • Expanded Storage Box capacity from 810 to 1,200.
  • Expanded Seeds & Such capacity from 300 to 400.
  • Tsubame’s Early Bird Boutique now sells Chocolate after reaching a certain Village Level.
  • Added sorting functionality to Village Building menus, forging menus at blacksmiths, and building menus at carpenters.

Socializing

  • Increased maximum Bond Level to 100.
  • New recipes and items are earned at specific Bond Levels with each character.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where villagers set to Off for farming would still harvest crops.
  • Fixed bugs with NPC conversations during festivals and contests.
  • Additional minor bug fixes.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is a 2025 role-playing simulation game developed and published by Marvelous. A spin-off of the Rune Factory series, it was released on June 5, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows.
