A forgotten PlayStation 2 classic may finally be making its return to the modern gaming landscape. Scarface: The World Is Yours, one of the most celebrated open-world action games of the 2000s, has been spotted on the Epic Games Store, hinting at an impending PC release. Though no official announcement has been made by the publisher or developer, the listing provides detailed information suggesting that the cult favorite could be arriving sooner than expected.

According to the store entry, Scarface: The World Is Yours is listed under developer Radical Entertainment and publisher EC Digital, marking a notable change from the game’s original release under Vivendi Games. The description reads, “They thought you were dead. But Tony Montana doesn’t die so easily.” It goes on to summarize the narrative premise in which Tony Montana, having survived the bloody betrayal at the hands of Sosa, must rebuild his fallen empire across Miami and the surrounding islands.

The listing describes the title as a third-person, open-world action-adventure game that combines brutal combat, strategic deal-making, and empire-building mechanics. Players will assume control of Tony Montana, navigating the underworld through violence, business expansion, and revenge-driven progression. The feature set includes a “Blind Rage Mode,” granting Tony enhanced damage and health regeneration after taking heavy fire, alongside a management system that allows players to launder money, acquire businesses, and dominate rival territories.

The re-release appears to preserve the essence of the original 2006 version while adapting the game for modern Windows platforms. According to the listing, the system requirements are relatively modest, with the minimum specification calling for an Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 4GB of memory, and Intel HD Graphics 500. The recommended setup suggests an Intel Core i7-13700KF or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580, indicating a straightforward remaster rather than a full-scale remake.

Interestingly, the Epic Games Store page lists an October 22, 2025, availability date, though no price has been attached to the entry at this time. The absence of a formal announcement implies that the listing may have gone live prematurely. EC Digital, now listed as the publisher, has not yet issued a statement regarding the release or the extent of any enhancements. Given the timing and level of detail included, an official confirmation could arrive soon.

Originally launched on October 10, 2006, Scarface: The World Is Yours was developed by Radical Entertainment and served as a spiritual continuation of Brian De Palma’s 1983 film. Rather than following the movie’s tragic ending, the game reimagined the story under a “what if” premise where Tony Montana survives the climactic shootout.
