Sega has announced a collaboration with international dance collective Kinjaz to mark the launch of its upcoming title Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. The partnership includes a choreographed dance routine set to music from the game and Young Dirty Bastard’s track The Path Just Begun, which was created with the game’s themes in mind.
The performance features the Kinjaz crew dancing in front of a large LED backdrop displaying visuals from various stages of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. The routine aims to merge gaming and live performance, presenting Sega’s action title through a creative medium that appeals to both players and dance enthusiasts.
Kinjaz, a group recognized for its influence in the international dance community, has roots in Asian culture and a long-standing interest in ninja-inspired aesthetics. Sega stated that this shared cultural reference point made the partnership a natural fit for the Shinobi franchise, which itself draws from ninja mythology.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is set to release on August 29, 2025, across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A free demo, offering an enhanced version of the game’s first stage, is currently available for download on all supported platforms. Sega has also highlighted the availability of merchandise through both the Sega Shop and Amazon’s Merch on Demand program.
The Shinobi series has been one of Sega’s longest-running action franchises, first debuting in arcades in 1987. While Sega has not detailed the full extent of post-launch content for Art of Vengeance, the company is promoting the game’s release through cross-media collaborations designed to reach a wider audience.
