For the uninitiated, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is the sequel to 2017’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. It takes place in 9th-century Iceland and draws heavily from Norse mythology and cultural elements. While maintaining the core elements of the original, the sequel introduces faster, more dynamic combat, enhanced puzzle-solving, and substantial visual improvements powered by Unreal Engine 5. It continues to focus on protagonist Senua’s battle with psychosis. The PS5 version will arrive alongside an “Enhanced” edition for all platforms, which will include a Performance Mode for higher frame rates, additional gameplay options, and expanded Photo Mode features.
