The previously rumored September, 2025, Nintendo Direct presentation will be “the big one”, insider claims.
Known insider and content creator SwitchForce shared a new video on his YouTube channel, in which he addressed his prior claim about a Nintendo Direct presentation being set for sometime in September, 2025. As per him, a general Nintendo Direct i.e. the kind of presentation where Nintendo itself unveils first-party titles and concrete release dates, will take place in mid-September, 2025, and he described it as being “the big one.”

Unlike recent months that delivered smaller presentations such as a Partner Showcase in July, 2025, and an Indie World in August, 2025, this rumored Nintendo Direct will allegedly be the first full general one since the launch of the Switch 2.
SwitchForce recently hinted at the date through a cryptic Twitter/X post, saying that Nintendo “dialed 912” instead of 911 to “phone in an emergency”, suggesting that the Direct will happen on September 12, 2025. The content creator has now clarified that the broadcast is expected earlier than expected, landing in early-to-mid September on a Friday.
The insider had been correct about Nintendo dedicating August to showcasing Drag x Drive and Kirby Air Riders. The console maker has historically held Direct presentations during the month of September, so we’re inclined to believe that it will indeed host one this year as well. As for possible surprises from Nintendo during the Direct presentation, the date of September 12 aligns with the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, which happens on September 13, 2025. As such, a new Mario game announcement may be on the cards alongside other potential surprises.
Known insider NateTheHate recently shared that he had received information regarding something related to Nintendo that he needed to verify further. It’s possible he has heard similar things about a Direct presentation happening during the first half of next month.
