As January comes to a close, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will see a new wave of departures from the service. A total of seven games are scheduled to leave the Game Pass library on January 31, spanning a wide range of genres, platforms, and audiences. The list includes both recent releases and older titles that have maintained a steady presence on the service, giving players a limited window to revisit or finish them before removal.
Here are the games leaving Game Pass as confirmed by the official Xbox Store.
- Cataclismo (PC)
- Citizen Sleeper 2 (PC, Console)
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (PC, Console)
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (PC, Console)
- PAW Patrol World (PC, Console)
- Shady Part of Me (PC, Console)
- Starbound (PC, Console)
Among the departing titles is Cataclismo, a dark fantasy strategy game that combines real-time tactics with fortress construction inspired by building blocks. The game challenges players to design defensive structures capable of withstanding waves of enemies that attack under the cover of night. Cataclismo reached its full 1.0 release on March 20, 2025, and is available on PC through Game Pass.
Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector is also leaving the service at the end of the month. The sequel continues the narrative-driven role-playing experience of the original, placing players in the role of an escaped android navigating life within an unstable asteroid belt. The game launched on January 31, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch, with Game Pass support on both PC and console.
Lonely Mountains Snow Riders is another notable departure. This follow-up to Lonely Mountains Downhill shifts the focus to snowy terrain while introducing multiplayer racing and cooperative gameplay. It was released on January 21, 2025, for PC and Xbox Series X and S, offering a more social twist on the franchise’s downhill formula.
Also exiting is Orcs Must Die Deathtrap, the latest entry in the long-running action defense series. This installment adds roguelite progression and four-player cooperative play to the familiar trap-based combat structure. The game debuted on January 28, 2025, for PC and Xbox Series X and S.
The list also includes PAW Patrol World, an open-world adventure aimed at younger audiences. Players explore familiar locations from the animated series while completing rescue missions. The game originally released on September 29, 2023, across multiple platforms.
Shady Part of Me, a puzzle platformer centered on light, shadow, and emotional storytelling, is also leaving. It first launched in December 2020 and has remained a quiet standout for players seeking a more artistic experience.
Rounding out the list is Starbound, a 2D sandbox adventure that allows players to explore a procedurally generated universe. While its PC release dates back to 2016, it arrived on Xbox consoles in October 2024, making its Game Pass departure feel relatively recent.
With January 31 approaching, subscribers have limited time to experience these titles before they exit the Game Pass lineup.
