Shin’en Multimedia has officially unveiled The Touryst Deluxe, an enhanced edition of the studio’s acclaimed 2019 action-adventure title, set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 25, 2025. The updated version not only introduces new content but also brings technical improvements designed to take advantage of Nintendo’s upcoming hardware.
Priced at $19.99, the game will also be offered as a budget-friendly $4.99 upgrade for owners of the original The Touryst purchased through the Nintendo eShop. Players can expect updated visuals, with support for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second in TV mode and 1080p at 60fps when played handheld. Save data from the original release can also be imported, ensuring continuity for returning fans.
Here is a visual comparison between the two versions shared by the developers.
Alongside the visual enhancements, The Touryst Deluxe expands on the base experience with a new arcade game, additional items, and a fresh quest line. These additions complement the game’s original activities, which include exploring exotic islands, uncovering mysterious monuments, diving into the ocean, mining underground passages, and attending lively beach parties.
Originally launched on Nintendo Switch in 2019, The Touryst quickly gained recognition for its voxel-based art style and inventive gameplay. It later saw releases on Windows, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation platforms, with the Xbox Series X|S version debuting as a launch title in 2020.
With The Touryst Deluxe, Shin’en aims to both preserve what made the original special and deliver enhancements suited to the Nintendo Switch 2. Whether players are newcomers or long-time fans, this updated edition promises to offer both familiar charm and fresh surprises when it arrives this September.
