Konami and Bloober Team’s upcoming remake of Silent Hill 1 is reportedly 3 years into development, and is targeting a 2027 launch.
Known insider and horror game enthusiast Dusk Golem (aka AestheticGamer1) took to Twitter/X to share new details regarding Bloober Team’s upcoming title. As far as he is aware, the Silent Hill 1 remake started development around 3 years ago.

Based on his informed speculation, the current schedule for Silent Hill projects has Silent Hill f arriving this year in 2025, followed by Silent Hill: Townfall in 2026, followed by Silent Hill 1 Remake in 2027, and then an internal Silent Hill title in the year 2028.
As for the Born From A Wish DLC for the Silent Hill 2 remake, Golem said that it’s still “cooking”. He added that he’ll dig around to see if he can get anything more specific in this regard.
Last month, during a livestream, Konami confirmed that the long-awaited Silent Hill remake is in development. While the reveal confirmed the project’s existence, key details, including platforms, release timing, and specific gameplay updates, remain unknown. Given Bloober Team’s success with Silent Hill 2 Remake, expectations are high for their reinterpretation of Silent Hill 1, which was first released in 1999 for the original PlayStation. The original introduced players to the town of Silent Hill and followed the story of Harry Mason, a man searching for his missing adopted daughter. As the narrative unfolded, players encountered disturbing revelations tied to a mysterious cult and the supernatural forces that haunted the fog-shrouded town.
The original Silent Hill was praised for its pioneering use of fog and darkness to conceal graphical limitations, a technique that incidentally heightened the game’s atmosphere and sense of dread. Its focus on an everyman protagonist, rather than a trained combat specialist, set it apart from contemporaries in the survival horror genre, establishing many of the psychological horror elements that would become synonymous with the series.
