Bloober Team has officially confirmed that its remake of Silent Hill 1 is now in full production. The update came during a recent Q and A session with investors, where the studio also discussed the performance of its new IP Cronos: The New Dawn and outlined the status of other projects in development.
According to the company’s management, Bloober Team currently operates with two internal first-party production teams. One of these is exclusively focused on Silent Hill 1 Remake, while the other is engaged with a separate undisclosed project. In addition, the studio revealed that five more titles are being developed through second-party collaborations.
The confirmation provides clarity for fans who have been waiting for updates since Konami first announced the remake in partnership with Bloober Team. While the studio did not share a release window or new gameplay details, acknowledging that the project is in full production signals that development is progressing beyond the early stages.
The investor session also offered insights into Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team’s most recent original IP. Management reported that the game sold around 200,000 units following its premiere weekend, with PlayStation consoles accounting for the majority of sales. Steam represented about 25 percent of the total, while physical sales data remains incomplete.
Asked whether Cronos will receive further expansions, sequels, or downloadable content, the studio noted that there are currently no active development plans beyond ongoing marketing efforts. However, management stressed that the IP has strong potential for future growth and could be expanded in multiple directions.
Despite the success of Cronos, Bloober admitted there is always some degree of disappointment when it comes to launches. Even so, they expressed confidence that the project has reinforced the company’s market standing and will yield long-term benefits.
With Silent Hill 1 Remake now moving forward under a fully dedicated team, Bloober Team appears to be positioning itself to balance major licensed projects with the continued development of its own original IPs. For now, fans will have to wait for further updates, but the confirmation marks a significant milestone in the revival of one of gaming’s most iconic horror titles.
