As for game completionists, Lenart mentioned that those who like to spend their time searching for everything that the development team has put into the game and things it has hidden for players, a playthrough will take more than 20 hours. He further clarified that he isn’t taking the New Game Plus and all the different endings into account with this time duration. He also expressed his curiosity over how quickly players will be able to find all of the hidden secrets that have been put into the remake.

Previously, Twitter/X user SilentHillSin had shared the accessibility options that will be available to players in the Silent Hill 2 remake. It turned out that they received this information directly via email from Konami support. The accessibility features include various options to alter the visibility of the subtitle and tutorials text, as well as to tweak the graphics, gameplay, controls, and audio. Some noteworthy options include low, medium, and high settings for aim assist magnetism, settings to disable both global and in-game motion blur, and settings to alter reticle visibility.

Earlier, Silent Hill series producer Hajime Okamoto had revealed that the Silent Hill 2 creators wanted the remake to feature drastic changes over the original, while it was Bloober Team that insisted on delivering a faithful experience.

Silent Hill 2 is set for release for PlayStation 5 and Windows on October 8, 2024.
