The results for the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2025 have been announced, with Silent Hill f taking home the top honor of Game of the Year. The annual ceremony highlights standout releases across the Japanese gaming industry and relies heavily on votes submitted by players.
In addition to winning Game of the Year, Silent Hill f also earned recognition for its development team. NeoBards Entertainment received the Most Valuable Creator award for its work on the title.
Several other games were recognized across a wide range of categories. The Hundred Line secured the Best Scenario award and also received the Rookie Award. Ghost of Yotei performed strongly as well, winning Best Graphics and the Action Adventure category.
Pokémon Legends ZA also appeared prominently among the winners, taking home awards for both Best RPG and Best Character. The character Corbeau from the game received the Best Character honor.
Other category winners included Mario Kart World for Best Music, Donkey Kong Bananza for Best Action Game, and R.E.P.O. for Best Online Game. Urban Myth Dissolution Center earned two awards, winning both Best Adventure Game and Best Indie Game. In the mobile category, SD Gundam GGeneration Eternal received the top prize.
The Best Voice Actor award went to Konatsu Kato for the role of Shimizu Hinako. Meanwhile, The Duskbloods was named the Most Anticipated title.
Two games were also recognized with the Famitsu Dengeki Special Award. Split Fiction and Trials in the Sky 1st Chapter, both received the distinction.
Silent Hill f launched on September 25, 2025, marking the first mainline entry in the long-running horror series to be set in Japan. Developed by NeoBards Entertainment and written by Ryukishi07, the game quickly found commercial success after release. It sold more than 1 million copies within its first 24 hours, surpassing the early sales pace of the Silent Hill 2 remake.
The title is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
