Skyrim Switch 2 Update 1.2 introduces a new 60 Hz display option, allowing players to toggle between Prioritize Visuals and Prioritize Performance modes. In Visuals mode, the frame rate is now locked at 30 Hz to ensure smoother and more consistent gameplay.
Alongside the new performance setting, this update addresses a wide range of crashes, frame rate drops, visual glitches, and input-related issues. Numerous fixes across user interface, controls, audio, and localization have also been implemented to improve overall stability and usability.

Visual Issues Fixes
- Fixed water planes shifting up and down when viewed from a distance or within menus
- Fixed distant aspen trees appearing with a blue tint
- Fixed lingering cave entrance outline during fade to black loading screen transitions
User Interface Fixes
- Fixed incorrect option highlighting when switching between mouse and controller mode in dialogue or Help menu
- Fixed callout prompts not dynamically updating when switching input modes in Help menus or user hints
- Restored the Ready Sheathe option in the Joy Con 2 Mouse Controls menu
- Fixed Delete prompt remaining grayed out in the Load menu when swapping input modes
- Fixed highlighted selection resetting to the top after deleting a save in Save and Load menus
- Fixed cursor becoming restricted to a smaller screen section in mouse mode when switching between docked and undocked modes or using GameChat
Controls Fixes
- Fixed Eagle Eye Archery perk remaining active after switching between mouse and controller mode
- Fixed button disappearing from Controls list when holding down the Right Joystick during reassignment
- Disabled unintended haptic feedback from Joy Con 2 controllers while in mouse mode
- Fixed unresponsive buttons when remapping controls while moving Joy Con 2 controllers in mouse mode
- Improved map rotation speed and smoothness in mouse mode
Audio Fix
- Fixed scrolling sound effects continuing to play when holding up or down on the Left Joystick or buttons at the top or bottom of the Save and Load menus
Localization Fixes
- Corrected Amiibo appearing as plural in Spanish
- Added new translations for newly introduced features and UI updates
