2 New DLC Characters For Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Appear To Have Been Leaked

Two new DLC characters set to be featured in Sega and Sonic Team‘s upcoming kart racing game, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, have apparently been leaked.

Sonic fan community resource sonicstadium.org took to Blue Sky to share that the solicitation for the upcoming kart racer and IDW Sonic tie-in comic has been released, revealing the inclusion of a new character in the plot. It’s worth remembering that the comic series is considered canon to the overarching Sonic the Hedgehog story, suggesting a strong possibility that said character may find their way into Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as one of its DLC characters.

Meanwhile, a Reddit user (via Reset Era member Camjo-Z) claimed that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has broken street date, allowing them to acquire an early physical copy. They shared pictures of the game packaging, including a flyer that lists all DLC collaborations. One of these collaborations is for Capcom’s fan-favorite blue bomber The post has since been deleted.

Two new DLC characters that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will possibly receive are listed below.

  • Tangle

According to a recent datamine, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will add Werehog, Sonic Prime Season Pass Bonus, Minecraft Season Pass Pack, Spongebob Season Pass Pack, Pac-Man Season Pass Pack, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season Pass Pack, Free Hatsune Miku DLC, Free Joker DLC, Free Kasuga Ichiban DLC, and more characters in the future. The flyer in the game’s packaging is in-line with this leak, suggesting that Mega Man will indeed be included in future DLC.

As for Tangle, the Lemur was first introduced in the IDW Sonic comics that are canon to the overarching story. As far as her presence in games is concerned, she originally appeared as a playable character in 2019 mobile games Sonic Forces: Speed Battle and Sonic Dash. She was also mentioned in Sonic Frontiers. In 2024, she appeared as a collectible card character in the mobile game Sonic Blitz.
