Splatoon 3 Version 11.0.0 introduces a major new battle mechanic called Squid Flow, along with on-screen health indicators and refinements to player and weapon hitboxes. These changes aim to improve combat readability and consistency across matches on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The update also delivers targeted main weapon and Special weapon adjustments, Special Point cost changes, SplatNet 3 improvements, and multiple bug fixes. Together, these updates reshape battle flow while addressing long-standing technical and gameplay issues.

General
- Battle Memory is not compatible with Ver. 10.1.0 or earlier
- Changes apply to both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
Battle Adjustments
- Added Squid Flow state
- Triggered after performing well, such as defeating multiple opponents in a short time
- Persists for a set duration
- Duration extended by defeating opponents or assisting teammates
- Automatically inks ground at player’s feet when entering or extending
- While active, grants effects of Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, Ink Resistance Up, and Intensify Action
- Accumulating turf points and assists makes Squid Flow easier to trigger upon splatting an opponent
- Added health indicators
- Approximate remaining health of allies and opponents now displayed
- Opponent health visible for about 3 seconds after taking damage
- Health not displayed if opponent’s center of mass is hidden or submerged
- Health remains visible when opponent is tracked by Thermal Ink or Point Sensor
- Hitbox adjustments
- Slightly reduced hitbox size of players in Squid and Octo form
- Increased hitbox size of main weapon attacks against players
- Shorter-range weapons receive larger hitbox increases
- Stealth Jump adjustment
- Super Jumping over long distances increases flight time by up to 1 second based on distance
- Ground preparation time unchanged
- Reefslider UI adjustment
- UI circle now represents the 220.0 damage radius rather than inking radius
Main Weapon Adjustments
- L-3 Nozzlenose (All)
- Shot velocity increased by about 24 percent
- Inking radius at impact point decreased by about 15 percent
- Dynamo Roller (All)
- Increased ink spray size for horizontal and vertical swings
- Adjusted damage falloff to allow 100.0 or higher damage at longer ranges
- Ink consumption increased by about 17 percent
- Hot Blaster (All)
- Reduced ending lag after firing by about 2/60 seconds
- H-3 Nozzlenose (All)
- Increased maximum damage from 44.0 to 45.0
- Splat Roller (All)
- Reduced delay before ink recovery starts after a swing by about 2/60 seconds
- Barrel Spinner (All)
- Increased ink spray radius from falling droplets and impact point by about 12 percent
- Quad Hopper (All)
- Shot velocity increased by about 19 percent
- Range remains unchanged
- Splat Brella (All)
- Reduced ink consumption per shot by about 9 percent

- Reduced damage radius of short-range explosion by about 11 percent

- 220.0 damage radius increased by about 20 percent
- 70.0 damage radius unchanged
- Explosion center raised slightly to avoid being blocked by small bumps
- Inking radius decreased by about 7 percent
- Maximum charge distance decreased by about 19 percent

SplatNet 3 Changes
- X Rankings now display the weapon used most frequently in a specific rule during a period instead of only the last used weapon
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Undercover Brella issue where swapping to a Special or Rainmaker when shield broke caused infinite shield regeneration
- Fixed visibility issue where laggy players performing Dualie Dodges from walls became invisible
- Fixed terrain exploits in MakoMart (Clam Blitz), Bluefin Depot, and Urchin Underpass
- Fixed issue where electronic signboard in Urchin Underpass blocked Ink Storm and Tenta Missiles
