Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that a new update for Splatoon 3 is set to arrive later this month. Version 11.0.0 will be released on January 29, 2026, bringing a fresh round of balance adjustments along with new features designed to affect battles across the game. The announcement was shared through Nintendo of Europe official social media channels, giving players a clear date while keeping some details intentionally under wraps.
According to Nintendo of Europe, the update will focus primarily on gameplay tuning and feature additions rather than expanding the game arsenal. In its statement, the company said, “As well as balance updates, there’ll also be some new features added to battles. Stay tuned for more deets!” At the same time, Nintendo made it clear that players should not expect any new weapon kits as part of this patch, noting, “Please note: there will be no new weapon kits included in this update.”
Splatoon 3 remains Nintendo’s latest entry in its ink-based shooter series, continuing the franchise’s signature mix of fast-paced action and colorful presentation. The game originally launched on September 9, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch, before later receiving an enhanced update that coincided with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025. This update allowed the title to expand its presence on newer hardware while maintaining its core identity.
Nintendo has indicated that more information about the update features will be shared closer to release.
