Square Enix used the latest Nintendo Direct to unveil several major announcements, including a new entry in the PARANORMASIGHT series, the arrival of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox platforms, and a confirmed release date for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.

The publisher announced PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse, the second game in the mystery adventure series following PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo. The new title launches digitally on February 19, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and iOS and Android devices, with pre-orders opening later today. Developed by the original creative team, the game is set in Showa-era Japan and draws heavily on urban legends and occult folklore. Players will investigate a new curse within an entirely new setting and cast, while the story remains standalone and accessible to newcomers. To coincide with the announcement, the original PARANORMASIGHT is currently available at a 75 percent discount on Switch and mobile platforms until February 18.

Square Enix also confirmed that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox on PC on June 3, 2026, with support for Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Digital pre-orders are now live across platforms, with a limited-time 20 percent discount on the Xbox versions through June 10. Players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 or Xbox will receive several in-game bonuses, including multiple Summoning Materia, armor pieces, and accessories, alongside the standard Digital Deluxe content such as a digital artbook and mini soundtrack. Physical pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version will include a Magic: The Gathering FINAL FANTASY Zack Fair card featuring variant artwork, while supplies last.

This version of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will also include the Streamlined Progression feature, which offers options such as unlimited HP and MP, always-filled ATB and limit gauges, increased damage values, and faster weapon ability acquisition to allow players to focus more on the story and combat flow. Square Enix additionally announced permanent price reductions for the PlayStation 5 and PC versions starting February 9, 2026, with the Standard Edition priced at $49.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99.

The company reiterated that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is a standalone adventure that follows Cloud and his allies as they leave Midgar in pursuit of Sephiroth, expanding the world with new locations, companions, and large-scale set pieces.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales also received a new trailer and a confirmed release date of June 18, 2026. The action RPG is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Physical and digital pre-orders are now available on most platforms, with digital pre-orders for Switch 2 planned for a later date. Players who pre-order any edition will receive Elliot’s Departure Pack, which includes items that provide gameplay advantages, such as accessories that increase currency and resource drops.

A Digital Deluxe Edition will include additional accessories, while a physical Collector’s Edition, exclusive to the Square Enix Store, will bundle the game with an original soundtrack and a desk clock statue featuring Faie.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales follows Elliot and his fairy companion Faie as they journey across a world that spans four distinct ages. Elliot can wield seven different weapon types, each customizable through Magicite, while Faie’s abilities support both combat and exploration. Square Enix also confirmed that several gameplay adjustments based on feedback from the debut demo are being implemented, including faster movement, refinements to the weapon shortcut menu, and additional difficulty options.

More details on each title are expected to be shared closer to their respective release dates.
