Square Enix has announced its complete lineup for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2025, with several highly anticipated titles set to appear at the event. The showcase will highlight new entries from its flagship franchises alongside original projects, giving fans a mix of nostalgia and fresh experiences.
Leading the lineup is Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, a remastered version of the 1997 tactical RPG classic, launching on September 30, 2025, for multiple platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Other notable appearances include Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake and Octopath Traveler 0, the latter of which introduces customizable protagonists and a new town-building mechanic while expanding the series’ signature “Break and Boost” battle system to accommodate up to eight characters.
Square Enix will also present The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a new HD-2D action RPG from Team Asano, the studio behind Octopath Traveler. Scheduled for release in 2026, the game follows a young hero and his fairy companion on a time-spanning quest across a thousand years of history. Fans can also expect updates for ongoing online titles including Dragon Quest X Online and Final Fantasy XIV.
