STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now available for pre-load on Xbox Series X|S, and, as a result, the game’s download size has been revealed. The first-person shooter survival horror game will take up a massive amount of storage space on the console. Those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to make room in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available on Microsoft’s current-gen platforms for those who need them.

The review embargo for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has yet to be revealed, though it is expected to be lifted close to launch on November 20, 2024.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set for release on Microsoft Windows and the Xbox Series X/S platforms. It marks the fourth installment in the STALKER series, as well as the series’ debut on consoles. It also breaks a 13-year hiatus in the series, as the last release, Call of Pripyat, was back in 2009. Initially revealed in the aftermath of Call of Pripyat’s launch, the game was initially slated for a 2012 release. Those plans were shelved, however, and the game was officially canceled in the same year it was meant to launch. Several years later, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl made a resurgence in 2018. Its development was re-initiated, this time powered by Unreal Engine 5.
