Update 2.0 and the rumored PS5 port of Bethesda Game Studios’ action role-playing game, Starfield, are set to be revealed next month in March, 2026, it is claimed.

Known insider shinobi602 took to the Reset Era forums to respond to fellow members who wondered whether the PS5 version, expansion and the accompanied 2.0 update for Starfield would end up making an appearance at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s State of Play on February 12, 2026. In his brief response, he confirmed that the aforementioned reveals will happen sometime in March, 2026, rather than at the upcoming presentation. “Since this keeps coming up, that’s all next month,” he said.

In December, multiple sources claimed that Bethesda Game Studios had invited members of the press and content creators to attend a presentation on upcoming content for Starfield, including a 2.0 update. Some of those who attended the presentation were excited for the game’s future, while others warned that while things are undoubtedly being improved, expectations should be tempered as the update isn’t on the scale of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0.

As per the information gathered, Bethesda Game Studios has a number of improvements coming as part of Starfield update 2.0 that are specifically aimed at addressing the most common complaints like load screens. Traces of some of these improvements have been spotted via a data mine of the game’s files. As for the release schedule, sources claim that both update 2.0 and DLC content for Starfield will be arriving later than expected. Though, an actual release window has yet to be shared.

Earlier in November, Spanish influencer oskar1up, who is known for covering Bethesda’s titles, shared that he saw new Starfield content that will be released in the future. “The non-disclosure agreement states that we can say we received a preview from Bethesda Game Studios about what’s coming to the game and that we can share more information in the future when we’re given the go-ahead.”
